Probably the last thing I’ll ever post.
Probably the last thing I’ll ever post.
For me.. I felt like I had these constant gray skies hanging over my head. Those gray skies didn’t disappear, I couldn’t see the sunrise, I didn’t magically have sunshine to brighten up those cloudy days. No, what changed was what I did with those gray skies. Instead of sulking and mourning over them, I decided to embrace them. So maybe it’s raining in your life today, and maybe when it rains, it pours. But that’s when you put your rain boots on and you jump in the biggest puddles you can find. That’s when you get together with your best friend and you make it a point to dance in those torrential downpours.
Happiness is a choice. I truly believe that. Your joy can be ever-present and completely unyielding if you let it be, so can your misery. Happiness, to me, is that unbridled strength lying just beneath the surface. It’s there, ready and waiting to be harnessed. Happiness is what you do with the hardships and the curve balls. Happiness is how you find your way out of the darkest stages of night so that you can witness that sunrise.

This song is me, right now, in every single aspect. And it feels okay. :)
“Love Song for No One” - John MayerStaying home alone on a Friday
Flat on the floor looking back
On old love
Or lack thereof
After all the crushes are faded
And all my wishful thinking was wrong
I’m jaded
I hate itI’m tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
So tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
Get hereSearching all my days just to find you
I’m not sure who I’m looking for
I’ll know it
When I see you
Until then, I’ll hide in my bedroom
Staying up all night just to write
A love song for no oneI’m tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
So tired of being alone
So hurry up and get hereI could have met you in a sandbox
I could have passed you on the sidewalk
Could I have missed my chance
And watched you walk away?
Oh no wayI could have met you in a sandbox
I could have passed you on the sidewalk
Could I have missed my chance
And watched you walk away?I’m tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
I’m so tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here oh yeahI’m tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
I’m so tired of being alone
So hurry up and get hereYou’ll be so good
You’ll be so good for me
I don’t want this to be a footnote, so I’m posting this first and foremost.
